In these hours it was Giarrusso's wife, Sara Garreffa, to break the silence on the matter, intervening with an interview given to Fanpage, in which it has offered his point of view on her husband's sentimental past and on the debate that arose at theIsland of the Famous.
“I don’t expect a man not to desire another woman sexually, I find it absolutely physiological.”
During the interview he naturally addressed the topic of their open relationship. Asked if they have ever had relationships with other people, he explained that, at the moment, there has been no need, but he does not rule out that it could happen in the future.
Garreffa then commented on the attention that The Island of the Famous dedicated to the sentimental dynamic between her husband and another contestant, declaring that she was not bothered by it, indeed, that she almost appreciated the exposure. She said that between her and Giarrusso there is a open and sincere relationship, free from jealousy, emphasizing how jealousy is often linked to insecurity, a feeling that she does not feel. According to Garreffa, if her husband is happy with another woman and there is an affinity between them, this can only please her: it means that she has found support in the path she is experiencing.
After the broadcast of a clip portraying Dino Giarrusso together with the contestant Khadi Fabiani, the former MEP reacted promptly, reiterating that he is married and defining his wife as the most important thing in his life.
"I think she's worrying a little too much about how I might react to certain things. Without any contact, she can only imagine what I think, even though she knows I'm a calm person with no jealousies. Maybe she's afraid I might take it badly, not so much for the closeness itself, but for the effect it might have on a media level."
In addition, when asked if he would like to see more images of the night spent by Dino and Fabiani, Garreffa responded negatively, specifying that she does not believe that anything different from what has already been shown has happened. She acknowledged that a certain understanding has been created between the two, but nothing that has caused her concern.
Finally, when asked if she was aware of Dino Giarrusso's past as a Latin lover - who declared that he chose the single life at 33 and had been with over 500 women - Sara Garreffa explained that she was, adding that she believed that her husband spoke about it to be consistent with the sincere approach with which he is living the television experience. She confirmed with irony that, when she met Dino, he was still fully in his Latin lover period, adding with a joke that she was perhaps his "five hundredth", but that, in the end, she was the one who married him.
