Adnkronos Rome, 27 April (Adnkronos) – “In expressing solidarity with Senator for Life Liliana Segre, who was ignobly insulted, I do not join the hypocrisy of those who fuel celebrations that, pretending to be anti-fascist, actually become anti-Semitic and then show solidarity with Segre. The hypocrisy of some exponents of the left is clear for all to see. Their attitudes are shameful. And they have been expressed in a biased manner in Parliament even on the occasion of recent commemorations, which should have imposed a different spirit.
Those who sow hatred cause these waves of shameful anti-Semitism. Therefore, in reiterating solidarity with Segre, I distance myself from all those who are at the base of this campaign of hatred and insults and therefore cannot, at the same time, be in solidarity with the senator who is its victim”. This was declared by the president of the Forza Italia senators, Maurizio Gasparri.
