Rome, 24 April (Adnkronos) – "I totally agree with President Romeo, the Resistance and the fight for liberation are a public and collective heritage. This is what we want and this is why we are in this Senate Chamber. Men and women of different social and cultural backgrounds, workers, farmers, students, intellectuals, bourgeois professionals, of different geographical origins too".
This was stated by the Democratic Party senator, Anna Rossomando, speaking at the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation.
"April 25, the Resistance and the Liberation, are a public heritage, which constitutes our collective identity; precisely: not biased, but on the right side of history. And there is no history without truth - he added - and there is no truth without justice. A system of values that, with the Liberation, on April 25 redeemed and renewed the concept of homeland".
