Concrete support for inclusion
This afternoon, the Baroni Foundation has announced funding of 350mila euros to support 11 innovative projects dedicated to people with disabilities. This event took place at the Aniene Circle of Rome and represents a significant step towards social inclusion and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
From beyond fifty years, the Foundation is committed to providing annual funding to institutions and associations operating in this sector, with a particular focus on scientific research,assistance and inclusive sport.
The value of collaboration
Giuseppe Signoriello, president of the Baroni Foundation, underlined the importance of collaboration between institutions and local entities. “Alone you go fast, but together you go far” he stated, highlighting how only through teamwork can concrete and lasting projects be realized. Inclusion, according to Signoriello, must start from schools and the breaking down of barriers, promoting an education in diversity that can really make a difference in people's lives.
Innovative projects awarded
Among the funded projects, the one that stands out is theUniversity of Cassino and Southern Lazio, which is developing an innovative system to support neurological therapies for the elderly. Using a Avatar and wearable devices, the project aims to monitor health and facilitate interaction between patients and healthcare professionals. Another significant project is that of Rebel Brains Foundation Ets, which aims to create a socio-educational laboratory for young autistic people, using art as a tool to promote social and work inclusion.
Sport and inclusion: a winning combination
In the sports sector, the SS Lazio Swimming Ssd Arl was awarded for her commitment to enhancing Paralympic swimming and water polo, with the aim of creating an inclusive community and broadening participation in Los Angeles Paralympics 2028. These projects not only provide sporting opportunities, but also contribute to building a more inclusive and supportive society.
