Rome, March 20 (Adnkronos) – “With the approval of the bill on wiretapping by the Meloni government, we are witnessing the victory of impunity over justice: crime is toasting from today. In one fell swoop, the right has demolished all the instruments of judicial police to combat crime with a planned relentless attack on the judiciary".
So says Angelo Bonelli, Co-Spokesperson for Europa Verde and MP for Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra.
"Eliminating fundamental tools such as wiretaps represents a very serious precedent and effectively means encouraging illegality and hindering the work of the judiciary and law enforcement. In fact, limiting wiretaps to 45 days will make it impossible for the judicial police to investigate serious crimes such as murder, sexual violence, including against minors, drug trafficking, corruption and the crimes of extortion and fraud that increasingly involve older people. This law is nothing more than a new piece in the attack on the judiciary and the activity of the judicial police, a further blow to legality in our country".
