Milan, November 14 (askanews) – "Non ho paura di niente" is Fabrizio Moro's tenth studio album, and the title isn't a statement but an exhortation, as the Roman singer-songwriter explains. "It's actually an encouragement to myself; it's the bravest part of Fabrizio. Because in reality, not being afraid of anything is also wrong in my opinion, from my perspective on life and also on creativity.
Because when you're not afraid of anything, you end up feeling too confident and start doing stupid things. It's the venting of Fabrizio's brave side that comes out when you're actually afraid of a lot of things. It's that part that rebels against fear."
An album composed of nine songs with introspective and timely lyrics, in which the intimate dimension intertwines with a collective vision, but which seems to go against the current fast-paced music industry. "I'm not entirely comfortable with it because the fact that this album was written, produced, and recorded over three years proves it, so that's quite a long time for the musical era we live in."
A twenty-five-year career, with many successes but also highs and lows, Fabrizio considers himself lucky for what he's had. "I don't expect anything from the future, which isn't a pessimistic viewpoint, but I don't like to think about the future. I live life day by day, I like to always have a big question mark in front of me because it's the question mark that excites me; I don't know what will happen tomorrow. I make short-term plans, at most."
With seven appearances at Sanremo, two among the young artists and five among the big names, and one win in each category, he says of the Italian Song Festival: "Right now, it's not that I don't think about it, because every year I think about Sanremo because Sanremo is part of my culture, my singer-songwriter culture. I mean, I grew up there, I loved Sanremo, and I still love it even though it's changed a lot. Today, to participate in Sanremo again, I would have to find a compromise—I know it's an ugly word, but to be clear, a fair and healthy compromise between what the Festival has become today and the Fabrizio Moro of today."
Fabrizio Moro will be touring live again in 2026. "That will definitely be, as it always is, the best part of the whole project. There's the writing phase, the search for the songs, the recording phase, the playing of them, the promotion phase—the live phase is the best part."
