Adnkronos Tel Aviv, November 7 (Adnkronos) – Five days after his arrest, a judge ordered former military prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi to be released and placed under house arrest for 10 days. Tomer-Yerushalmi is prohibited from contacting anyone involved in the case for 55 days. Meanwhile, a cell phone was found in the sea near Cliff Beach in Netanya, which police have not ruled out as belonging to the former lawyer.
"It's not impossible that it's hers," the officers said, as they prepare to determine whether the mobile device actually belongs to the woman.
Tomer-Yerushalmi is suspected of fraud, abuse of office, obstruction of justice, and unlawful disclosure of materials in connection with her role in the leak to the media of a video showing IDF soldiers torturing a Gaza detainee at the Sde Teiman detention center last year.
