Garlasco, the new audio that can change the course of the investigation: "He was threatened"
Sul Garlasco crime a new one has sprung up audio of 2022 between the former marshal Francesco Marchetto e Alfredo Sportiello, head of the ASM of Vigevano who managed the tasks of Marco Muschitta, the worker who became the "unreliable witness" of the Chiara Poggi case.
Muschitta's testimony
Moss, heard on September 27, 2007, is said to have spoken with the Carabinieri for over four hours. During that deposition, the worker is said to have seen, on the morning of the crime, a young woman on bicycle walking away from the villa on Via Pascoli and with a tool in his hand, a kind of fireplace andiron. And he allegedly pointed the finger at Stefania Cappa, Chiara's twin.
The minutes were reportedly interrupted twice, although the reason was not indicated. Subsequently, Muschitta would have retracted everything: “I made up everything I told you because I’m stupid.” A retraction that would make him, from that moment on, “completely unreliable” for justice.
The wiretapping
After the testimony, the wiretaps between the two were allegedly ignored Muschitta and his father. “To protect you, they made you do that stuff. In my opinion, you did the right thing. You don’t have to regret it. You said what you knew… But did you tell the truth?”, said the father.
And Muschitta would have replied: “Of course, I said what I saw.” These interceptions were considered irrelevant by the investigators, at a crucial moment in the investigation that led to the arrest of Alberto Stasi.
Sportiello's doubts
In the 2022 audio, Counter he would still have shown himself convinced of the veracity of the first version of Moss. Sportiello would have said: “And he didn't, come on, what he saw he saw eh… that morning at 9-9.30 he saw… he didn't make it up, but imagine”.
It's still: "He saw this girl riding around on a women's bicycle, he saw her, he he didn't make it up eh. Just as she told it to me, I told it to her in front of the director, the exact same thing”.
The new audio: “They threatened him”
Now the conversation has emerged, dated July 17, 2022, which allegedly contains very heavy statements about Muschitta: “He's a quack, he's not a man… surely they threatened him…because of those two girls there, that's for sure…then maybe they even gave him some money to keep quiet." These are Sportiello's words addressed to Marchetto, who in turn commented: “But who knows what threats they made to him?”
The audio, published exclusively by the newspaper Il Tempo, would change the course of the investigation, because Muschitta, after having provided detailed testimony on the events of August 13, 2007, would then have retracted everything?
Investigators under accusation
According to the reconstruction that emerges from the audio, the investigators did not reconvene Moss to press him and would instead have concentrated on finding evidence to prove that the gas technician was a mythomaniac.
Only in light of this audio, according to "The weather", the minutes of 9 October 2007 by Sportiello could be interpreted, followed in the following two days by the acquisitions at'Asm of Vigevano of the work cards. The checks would have confirmed that Muschitta, at the time and on the day indicated, was indeed operating on the street where he had said he had seen the blonde girl.
