Türkiye issues arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Israeli ministers: latest updates on the Gaza ceasefire.

La Turkey issued arrest warrants for genocide against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several ministers, including Israel Katz and Itamar Ben Gvir. The Istanbul prosecutor's decision concerns 37 suspects and represents a significant diplomatic escalation. Meanwhile, according to the GuardianDozens of Palestinians remain detained in Gaza in critical conditions, while Israel continues its military operations and manages the exchange of hostages' bodies with Hamas, under international supervision.

Prisoner conditions and prisoner exchanges in Gaza

Despite the truce negotiated by the United States, hundreds of Palestinians would remain detained by Israel in critical conditions. According to the Guardian, dozens of people would be held in the underground complex di Rakefet, where natural light, adequate food and contact with the outside world would be lacking.

Among the detainees were civilians arrested without formal charges, such as a nurse and a young food vendor, who were exposed to beatings and violence similar to torture documented in other detention centers. The Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI) denounced that, "Although the war is officially over, Palestinians in Gaza are still imprisoned in war-like conditions legally contested and violent, which violate international humanitarian law and constitute torture".

In parallel, the IDF and the Red Cross have managed the transfer of bodies of Israeli hostages, handing over the bodies to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification procedures, accompanied by their families and under strict military supervision. So far, Hamas has 21 hostage bodies returned, while six remains remain in the Gaza Strip, including that of a Thai citizen.

These operations represent a delicate balance between humanitarian negotiations and military tensions, in a context where prisoner detention and exchanges remain instruments of political and strategic pressure.

"It's genocide in Gaza." Türkiye issues arrest warrant for Netanyahu and ministers.

La justice Turkish has issued arrest warrants for "genocide" against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several government officials, including Defense Minister Israel Katz and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The Istanbul General Prosecutor's Office said the warrants concern a total of 37 people, without providing a complete list.

In response, Israel described the initiative as “tyrant Erdogan's latest publicity stunt”, recalling how “In Erdogan's Türkiye, the judiciary has long become a tool for silencing political rivals and arresting journalists, judges and mayors.”, words of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.

In the context of this escalation, Israel has temporarily the border crossings closed of Kerem Shalom and Al-Awja towards Gaza, suspending the entry of humanitarian aid, justifying the decision by the coincidence of holidays in Israel and Egypt. At the same time, the IDF would have struck "several weapons depots built in the center of civilian-populated areas”, belonging to Hezbollah's elite unit.

The developments come as the United States brokers the return of hostage bodies between Hamas and Israel, part of a process that includes the exchange of 15 Palestinian bodies for every Israeli hostage, as evidenced by statements from Gaza health officials.
