Rome, 2 Nov. (askanews) – The British Conservatives have elected the “anti-woke” candidate Kemi Badenoch as their new leader, replacing Rishi Sunak, who resigned following the party’s disastrous results in the July elections.
“The task before us is tough but simple. Our first responsibility as the loyal opposition to Her Majesty is to hold the Labour Government to account.”
“Our party is essential to the success of our country. But to be heard we have to be honest, honest about the fact that we have made mistakes, honest about the fact that we have lowered the bar. It is time to tell the truth.”
