Rome, November 14 (askanews) – In Sestri Ponente, on Friday, November 14, the streets transformed into a grand collective narrative: hundreds of elementary school children paraded in a performance inspired by Moby Dick, led by Captain Ahab in pursuit of the White Whale. This choral action stems from Teatro Akropolis's extensive work with local schools and perfectly embodies the spirit of "Testimonianze ricerca azioni," the festival taking place in Genoa from November 13 to 28, now in its sixteenth edition.
The 2025 edition is dedicated to research as a living and shared practice: not a one-off journey, but a way to interrogate the present, explore traditions, and bring diverse languages and cultures into dialogue. The festival spans multiple venues across the city—from the Akropolis Theater to Villa Durazzo Bombrini, and even the Palazzo Ducale—with performances, film, music, seminars, and workshops.
Among the most anticipated events is also the special dedicated to Japanese dance but, with the presence of international artists such as Imre Thormann and Natsuko Kono.
“Testimonianze ricerca azioni” is a journey into contemporary creativity, and the children's participation demonstrates how art can become a shared experience that engages the entire community.
