The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have officially confirmed the elimination of Mohammad Abdullah, supreme commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, during an operation targeted military strike conducted in the Nur Shams refugee camp, located in Tulkarem, in the West Bank.

The operation, as reported by the main media, was carried out through a precision air strike and took place yesterday. Abdullah had assumed leadership of the militant organization in Tulkarem following the killing of his predecessor, Mohammed Jabber, during an armed conflict in late August.According to Israeli military officials, the eliminated commander was responsible for planning and coordinating numerous hostile actions, including explosive device attacks against Israeli forces in the area.

During the operation, a second individual was also neutralized, identified by the Palestinian news agency Wafa as Awad Omar, a resident of the nearby town of Bal'a. The agency also reported that the bodies of the two individuals were taken into custody by Israeli forces.
The IDF later reported the discovery of weapons, including semi-automatic rifles and defensive tactical equipment, on the bodies of the neutralized individuals, confirming the militant nature of the victims.
The operation comes in the context of ongoing tensions in the region and efforts by Israeli authorities to counter the activities of militant organizations in the West Bank.
