Khan Yunis, April 24 (askanews) – Palestinians inspect the damage at the site of an air strike that hit a house in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Israel resumed a major air and ground offensive on Gaza on March 18, ending a two-month ceasefire that had essentially halted fighting in the besieged Palestinian territory.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday urged Hamas to free all hostages, saying holding them gave Israel “excuses” to attack Gaza, as rescuers recovered charred bodies from an Israeli strike.
