Adnkronos Berlin, November 15 (Adnkronos) – "We remember the agreement that seventy years ago encouraged so many Italian workers to move to Germany: the role they played went beyond their own work, fostering unity and growing integration between Germany and Italy, through their commitment and that of their descendants." This was stated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during the ceremony in Berlin for the awarding of the "Presidents' Prize for Municipal Cooperation between Italy and Germany."
Among the descendants of Italian emigrants present at the ceremony was Vinicio Capossela, who will perform on the occasion.
