Farewell to Paolo Sottocorona, who died at 77: who was the La7 meteorologist?

Born in Florence on December 17, 1947, Sottocorona he began his journey studying classical disciplines and attending four years of Engineering. In 1972 he joined the Meteorological Service of the Air Force, where he remained until 1993, reaching the rank of captain.

He worked first at the Meteorological Office at Guidonia Airport and then at the National Center of Meteorology, also taking part in the fifth Italian expedition to Antarctica in 1989.
