Turin, November 7 – (Adnkronos) – Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato are once again adorned with magic for the new edition of the 'Magico Paese di Natale', the widespread event that for 19 years has brought Christmas traditions to the UNESCO World Heritage site, involving adults and children on an enchanted journey through fairytale landscapes, among lights, music, decorations, and markets.

This year's event, promoted by the Generazione Association and scheduled to take place in Asti, Govone and San Damiano d'Asti from 15 November to 21 December, has a special theme: 'Return to the Roots', a common thread that will lead visitors to rediscover the true essence of Christmas, between the authentic values of being together, family warmth made up of small gestures and collective memory, confirming itself as one of the most beloved events in the Italian Christmas panorama, so much so that it has been awarded as 'the most romantic market in Europe'. Govone, the historic heart of the event, is preparing to welcome visitors with a program packed with new features. Starting November 15th, visitors will be greeted by a revamped version of Santa's House. With Christmas music, friendly elves, and fairytale settings, the excitement will build until the most anticipated moment: meeting Santa Claus, to whom the little ones can deliver their letters. The main floor of the Royal Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be the setting for the "Christmas at the Royal Castle" experience, a captivating journey through the elegant rooms of the Savoy residence, each transformed for the occasion with decorations and colors that evoke the magic of Christmas. The "Elves' School" show-workshop returns again this year, where children and adults will be involved in new challenges and activities by Nanny Elfa and the friendly elves. Among the new features of the 2025 edition is the doubling of the Christmas market. Alongside the popular Asti event, Govone will also host 60 wooden stalls selling artisanal crafts, traditional products, and culinary delights, lining the avenue surrounding the Royal Castle.

As always, Piazza Alfieri will host Asti's Christmas market, the only Italian event to make the top five of the European Best Destination contest and, for the second consecutive year, to receive the title of "Europe's most romantic market" in 2024. This year, over 130 stalls dedicated to crafts, traditional products, and food will welcome visitors. The spiritual heart of the "Magical Christmas Village" will once again be the living nativity scene of San Damiano d'Asti, now in its 17th year. Winding its way through the courtyards and cellars of the historic center, the town stages the Nativity and ancient crafts. Finally, Santo Stefano Belbo will also join the "Magical Christmas Village" with "The Christmas Fairy Tale" on the weekends of December 7-8, 13-14, and 20-21. For the occasion, a majestic Christmas tree will be surrounded by stations where Mother Christmas and an elf will accompany visitors on a journey dedicated to the creation of handcrafted decorations and the preparation of typical specialties.
