Remo added that, although he is a distant relative, he is convinced that Francis would have preferred an even simpler funeral, in line with his way of life.

Remo rang the bell, a symbolic gesture to remember and honor Francis. The community united in prayer, reciting the rosary, led by the parish priest Don Jairo Alzate Ocampo.
