A terrible drama took place today, Friday 9 August 2024, in Salento. The diver missing in Torre Mozza, during a dive, he was found dead five miles from Lido Marini. The victim is a 55-year-old man from Torre Pali. The alarm was raised around 17pm by some friends with whom the man had gone to the coast.
Diver found dead in Salento: searches and discovery
The men of the harbor master's office and the divers from Gallipoli and Bari immediately intervened on the site where the tragedy occurred. The searches were extended throughout the entire area, from Lido Marini to Torre Vado. Unfortunately the searches ended in the worst possible way and the man was found dead.
