Milan, October 16 – (Adnkronos) – "For Fipe-Confcommercio, representation is based on involvement, vision, operational capacity, skills, and passion. The Italian out-of-home catering industry is struggling to find workers. This is a challenge we are trying to address, including through projects on vocational schools. The sector faces a productivity problem that is eroding companies' operating margins, without which there is no way to remunerate invested capital, make new investments, or pay staff more effectively."
Lino Enrico Stoppani, President of Fipe-Confcommercio, said this from the stage at Aigrim Day – Chain Restaurant Forum, today in Milan.
For the president of the Italian Federation of Public Establishments (FIPE), beyond the problems, there are also "many opportunities and room for growth," he states. "Just consider the growing tourist demand in the country, which will evidently bring with it new jobs for public establishments," he hopes. "This growth is also increasing the value of the products of a region where restaurants are branching out, confirming the sector's vital role in the tourism and agri-food supply chain."
The president of Fipe-Confcommercio emphasizes the role of federations in discovering new opportunities, and the need to "feel increasingly close to businesses, continuing along the path of quality," he concludes.
