Beirut, Nov. 18 (Adnkronos) – The toll from the Israeli raid in southern Lebanon is worsening. According to the country's Ministry of Health, at least 13 people were killed in the attack on the Ain al-Helweh Palestinian refugee camp on the outskirts of Sidon, while Israel declared it struck a Hamas compound.
The Ministry of Health added that "ambulances are still transporting other injured people to nearby hospitals."
Lebanon's state-run National News Agency said the attack targeted a car near the Khalid bin al-Walid Mosque and that "it was later reported that the raid had also hit" the mosque itself and a center of the same name.
The Israeli military said in a statement that it had "striked terrorists operating at a Hamas training compound in the Ain al-Helweh area of southern Lebanon," adding that it was "operating against the Hamas base in Lebanon."
