Rome, November 14 (Adnkronos) – Webuild has acquired €9,3 billion in orders since the beginning of the year, bringing its total order intake for the three-year period 2023-2025 to approximately €45 billion. This is according to the results released by the group.

The figure exceeds the target set by the three-year industrial plan 'Roadmap to 2025 – The Future is Now' by almost €10 billion, confirming the group's ability to seize strategic opportunities in key markets, which are experiencing significant investment in sectors where Webuild boasts solid expertise.

"Investments in infrastructure are experiencing sustained growth, driven by growing demand for sustainable mobility, energy, water, and essential community services," a statement reads.

Among the figures released by Webuild in the press release, it highlights the over 11.000 hires in the first nine months of the year, 2.400 of which were in Italy, for a total of approximately 95.000 employees for the group.

Against this backdrop, the statement states, "Webuild has built one of the largest order books in the industry, which guarantees broad visibility of future revenues (approximately four years), representing a solid foundation for the next industrial plan." Furthermore, the group reports a near-term commercial pipeline of approximately €77 billion, concentrated, in line with its de-risking strategy, in developed geographies where Webuild has a consolidated presence, including Europe, Australia, North America, and the Middle East. Commercial activity accelerated in the third quarter, with a significant increase in tenders pending award, rising to €18,5 billion compared to €11 billion in July 2025. In addition, over €14 billion in tenders are in preparation, with the results expected primarily in 2026.

"The 2023-2025 business plan is nearing completion with operating results and order intake well above targets," Webuild said in a statement released on the results reviewed by its Board of Directors. The upgrade to bb+ reflects the "solidity of the business profile, strengthening of the financial structure, and broad visibility of future revenues recognized by rating agencies," it added. On the construction front, notable projects include the inauguration of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the largest hydroelectric project ever built in Africa; and in Argentina, Lot 2 of the Riachuelo system, Latin America's largest wastewater treatment plant, was delivered, set to significantly improve the quality of life for residents of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.

In Italy, the railway line between Bicocca and Catenanuova has been activated, the first high-capacity line in Sicily, "representing the concrete launch of a system of more efficient connections between the island and the rest of Europe." Among the most significant milestones for ongoing projects are the completion of the Casalnuovo Tunnel on the Naples–Cancello section of the Naples-Bari high-speed line, the first in Italy to be excavated in a hyperbaric environment, and the completion of the first tunnel between Italy and Austria in the Brenner Base Tunnel. In recent months, three additional caissons for the New Breakwater in Genoa have also been positioned, including the first of the largest ones.
