Terrible accident in Latina: tractor and van out of control, 4 injured
Un impatto violento, che ha strappato i mezzi dal loro percorso, catapultandoli fuori strada.
Il tractor, in particular, ended up in a canal along the roadway.
It all happened in an instant. The tractor was turning into Via Cerretelli when, suddenly, the van which was proceeding in the opposite direction did not have time to stop. The collision It was devastating. Inside the van, four people, all foreigners, who probably had not foreseen that their daily journey would end in tragedy.
When the rescuers arrived, the scene was dramatic. The firefighters had to work hard to extract the injured from the twisted metal. The drivers, a man of Indian origin at the wheel of the van and another from Sermoneta at the wheel of the tractor, were urgently transported by 118 air ambulances.
Tractor and van, collision in Latina: what are the dynamics of the accident?
The first one took flight to the San Camillo hospital in Rome, while the second one was directed to Gemelli, also in Rome. The seriousness of the accident, unfortunately, required rapid interventions.
But it doesn't end there. The other two foreign citizens, who were traveling in the van, were stabilized on site and, after receiving first aid, were taken to the Goretti hospital in Latina. The conditions of all are serious, but stable.
While the area was secured, traffic was paralyzed for hours, while the local police worked to reconstruct the dynamics. The question that many have asked is: could all of this have been avoided? If more attention had been paid to the signs, or if perhaps there had been better visibility at that critical point. One thing is certain, however: the accident marked Latina's day. The memory of that moment, without a doubt, will not fade easily.
