Two chain collisions, which occurred a short distance from each other under the Capodimonte Gallery, caused a traffic block towards Capodichino for 7km. The rescue intervention was made difficult by the traffic jam caused by the accidents in the tunnel. Fortunately, despite the two rear-end collisions, no of those involved would have reported serious injuries.
The police have arrived at the scene of the accident and, not without difficulty, are trying to re-establish traffic. In the meantime, also the surrounding streets have suffered slowdowns, with traffic congestion in the Fuorigrotta and Vomero neighborhoods.
