Weather forecasts confirm the trend of the last period, that is a new climatic era for Italy, increasingly characterized by extreme events, between waves of exceptional heat a violent storms.
Weather forecast: African anticyclone arriving with peaks of 40°
This situation is configured with the imminent arrival of Pluto, a African anticyclone which leaves room for another week of intense heat.
As reported by 3BMeteo, the high pressure cell will bring temperatures maximum above average starting today, Monday 23 June. The anomaly will then increase over the course of the days with values that could locally rise up to 10°C above the seasonal averages for the last ten days of June.

Today will be a day of good weather and sunny over most of the Peninsula, with the exception of the Alpine and pre-Alpine area where thunderstorms may develop in the second part of the day, in the afternoon. It is not excluded that some phenomena may reach the Pedemontana and the upper Lombard-Veneto plain. temperature those in the North-Central, Sardinia and Puglia are increasing with maximum temperatures on the Island up to 37°, up to 35°C in Emilia Romagna, with grandfather high and widespread.

Tomorrow will be even more stable, with the sun that will be dominant although some low cloudiness could affect the Tyrrhenian coasts especially in the early morning. The afternoon convective cloudiness will occasionally manifest itself on the reliefs but without managing to bring phenomena, except for some occasional ones, in the Apennines. As for temperatures, there will be a slight and further increase. All of Italy will be above average except for the Ligurian coast and the Campania coast where the mugginess will be very accentuated, with peaks of 38°C in Sardinia and Puglia.
Weather: Forecast for Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th June
A fast passing wind is expected between Wednesday and Thursday momentum unstable that could bring some showers to the Northwest as early as Wednesday evening/night and then continue its march by Thursday also on the rest of the North. The most affected sectors would seem to be the Alps, Prealps, Pedemontana and upper Po Valley, although it is not excluded that the phenomenon may reach the middle and lower plains towards the evening. Sun and heat will dominate the rest of Italy, intensifying further. Peaks of 40°C are expected on the Tavoliere on Wednesday.

Between Friday and the weekend the anticyclone African will be gradually replaced by that of the Azores. General stability is expected over Italy with sunshine everywhere and little instability afternoon convective over the Alps. temperature will be slightly down, although still above average with grandfather high.
