Adnkronos Rome, 7 Feb. (Adnkronos) – "Today the entire delegation of the Green Left Alliance to the European Parliament presented a written question to the EU Commission to denounce the role of the Italian government in the release of Osama Najim Almasri, head of the Libyan judicial police, on whom there is an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and torture". This is stated in a note.
"In particular, it was asked whether the EU Commission considers this action compatible with the values of the European Union and with the legal obligations undertaken by the Member States. Furthermore, again on the proposal of Avs, next week the European Parliament will discuss the defense of the role of the International Criminal Court, humiliated by the Italian Government with the Almasri scandal and under the shameful attack of Trump and Netanyahu".
