Rome, 6 Feb. (Adnkronos) – "Yesterday once again the government came to Parliament and did not tell the truth, did not have the courage to take responsibility for its choices, contradicted itself. We want to know if to protect the national interest the government relies on, or rather cooperates with, or rather is an accomplice to, a gang of cutthroats, murderers, rapists. I think this is not acceptable, that there is a limit even to what is defined as national interest. It seems completely normal to me that the opposition has, in a very decisive way, underlined the inconsistencies and is intent on asking for truthful answers". This is what Nicola Fratoianni of Avs said speaking to reporters in front of Montecitorio.
"Because it is unacceptable that in the end - adds the leader of SI - politics gets involved in a surreal discussion on quibbles and of which reality becomes the victim, and those bodies violated by unscrupulous torturers, as can be seen today in a new and terrible video released by Repubblica with a man tied to the fender and dragged by a vehicle of that Libyan judicial police headed by Almasri kindly released by Nordio and Piantedosi".
"Just as the government's devastating attack on the International Criminal Court is unacceptable: but how can we not see that we are in a world at war in which without these bodies, or rather without their strengthening, without rebuilding a sort of sacredness around those bodies, the only element that remains in play is the law of the strongest, of violence, of the systematic violation of rights? This government - concludes Fratoianni - is creating a colossal disaster, the costs of which will be paid by our country".
