A new approach to education
In the heart of Fuorigrotta, a neighborhood in Naples, the 39th Circolo Didattico Leopardi-Doria has launched a pioneering project that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) into the educational process. This project, called AI-LEAP (LEArning Personalization with AI and of AI), represents a significant step towards more personalized and interactive education. Elementary school students not only learn from their teachers, but also from robots, the new classmates that stimulate curiosity and interest in technology.
Collaboration between universities and schools
The project is the result of a collaboration between the University of Turin, the University Federico II of Naples and the University of Eastern Piedmont. These academic institutions have joined forces to develop an educational program that uses the potential of AI to improve learning. The goal is clear: to make education more accessible and engaging, using technology to respond to the individual needs of students. Through the use of robots and AI tools, students can explore new learning methods that adapt to their styles and paces.
The future of education
This project is not just an experiment, but a model that could be replicated in other Italian and international schools. The integration of artificial intelligence in education represents a response to the challenges of the modern world, where technology plays an increasingly central role. Educators and researchers involved in the AI-LEAP project are convinced that the use of robots in the classroom can not only facilitate learning, but also prepare students for a future in which AI will be an integral part of daily and professional life.
