Barbara Berlusconi joins La Scala's Board of Directors after nomination by the Lombardy Region

President Attilio Fontana signed the decree appointing Barbara Berlusconi to the Board of Directors of the Teatro alla Scala Foundation in Milan.

The Lombardy Region designates Barbara Berlusconi as its representative in the CDA of Ladder, who will take office on February 17 after the renewal. Silvio Berlusconi's third-born daughter replaces Nazzareno Carusi, who was appointed in 2020 when he was Forza Italia's Culture Director.

“Best wishes for a good job to Dr. Berlusconi”, declared the president of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana.

The Lombardy regional coordinator of Forza Italy, the deputy Alessandro Sorte, expressed great satisfaction, defining the choice as "one of prestige and quality". The head of the Forza Italia delegation in the regional council, the councillor for Territory and Green Systems Gianluca Comazzi, also congratulated Barbara Berlusconi for “this important and prestigious assignment”.

She wanted to thank the following for the nomination: 

“I would like to thank the Lombardy Region and President Fontana for the trust granted".

In the Board of Directors, as reported Milan Today, several figures have already been confirmed: Claudio Descalzi of Eni, Giacomo Campora of Allianz and Giovanni Bazoli of Fondazione Cariplo. Alberto Meomartini could be replaced by Diana Bracco.

Barbara Berlusconi's Career

Barbara Berlusconi, 40 years old and graduated in Philosophy, has always been passionate of culture, contemporary art and, in particular, theater. She is a partner of the Cardi Gallery, an art gallery with offices in Milan and London. As a manager, she has been on the board of directors of Fininvest since 2003.

She has served as CEO of AC Milan and is currently CEO of Holding Italiana Quattordicesima, a private equity and venture capital investment company with stakes in several companies, both in Italy and abroad.

Finally, she is actively involved in social initiatives, supporting educational and recovery projects for young people in difficulty.

Forza Italia Senator and Vice President of the Senate, Licia Ronzulli, underlined the following about the nomination:
