Rome, June 23 (Adnkronos) – "There is no split within Fratelli d'Italia in the province of Caserta. The situation is very different and denotes, on the contrary, a pragmatic and cohesive management of the internal dynamics of the party. Regarding the elections for the presidency of the Province, the provincial coordinator, Gimmi Cangiano, acknowledging the complexity of the political framework and the objective absence of full unity of purpose within the local centre-right, has communicated a clear and necessary line of action".
This is underlined by Fdi senator Giovanna Petrenga.
"During the last provincial coordination of the party, which I attended together with Marco Cerreto, Cangiano - explains Petrenga - in fact granted the members of the party full freedom of choice in electoral support for the next president of the province of Caserta. This decision was made with a view to responsibility and respect for the different sensibilities present, guaranteeing everyone the ability to express their vote in science and conscience. Fratelli d'Italia in the province of Caserta maintains its cohesion and unity of purpose at a national level and on programmatic issues".
"The choices regarding the provincial presidency were managed with an approach aimed at not imposing diktats, but at allowing each exponent to act in compliance with local dynamics and their own political conscience, avoiding forcing that could have, those yes, created real divisions. Fratelli d'Italia - concludes Petrenga - remains a party all of a piece, faithful to its values and to the directions of the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni. The narrative of a 'split' is instrumental and without foundation".
