Vieri wanted to tell his misadventure in the first person, publishing some images that portray him with the oxygen mask, lying on a medical bed.
“I left Italy with cough and bone pain. So I said I'll take the old Brufen and two or three days and it will go away. It didn't happen like that, the cough was getting worse. Three days ago I went to the doctor, he felt the lungs and he tells me: the left one is fine, the right whistles a little. I'm taking antibiotics, I can't get any sun so my vacation is over."
Costanza too Caracciolo, the former footballer's wife, took to Instagram to comment on what had happened, explaining that Vieri had not been feeling well even before leaving. They had hoped that the climate of the Maldives, between sun and sea, could help him recover from his cough, but the situation instead worsened, forcing him to turn to a doctor.
