Adnkronos Rome, 17 June – (Adnkronos) – “The issue of the decree law containing the recent citizenship reform has aroused attention and debate in the Italian communities: the general secretary has just defined it as 'disorientation'. The reflection that will open on the issue in your Council in this session will certainly be useful - and to be followed carefully - to encourage a thoughtful consideration - and possibly even some reconsideration - of the issues that have arisen”.
This was stated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during his meeting at the Quirinale with the Secretary General, Maria Chiara Prodi, and the members of the General Council of Italians Abroad.
