London, April 24 (Adnkronos/Dpa) – The Prince and Princess of Wales will spend their 14th wedding anniversary in a self-catering cottage on a Scottish island. William and Kate will return to the country where they fell in love for a two-day visit, meeting artisans, farmers and residents of the Isle of Mull, off the west coast of Scotland.
The British royal couple married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, and are likely to enjoy a romantic dinner for two on the island next Tuesday, although it is unclear who will be cooking at their cottage.
Life partners for over 20 years, William and Kate met at the University of St Andrews in Fife and became friends before starting their romance. Two years after their wedding, the couple welcomed their first child, Prince George, followed by Princess Charlotte in 2015 and Prince Louis in 2018, and it seems their bond is even stronger following Kate's cancer treatment.
The Isle of Mull is part of the lands once ruled by the Lord of the Isles, one of several Scottish titles William inherited from his father when Charles became king and William heir to the throne. In Scotland, William and Kate are officially known by their Scottish titles, Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, and will begin their visit on Tuesday in the town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. The couple will visit a local hall that serves as a community center and tour the Tobermory Producers Market, coordinated by the Tobermory Harbour Hall, where they will sample produce and meet producers and artists.
