Rome, May 15 (Adnkronos Salute) – This year too, over 5000 hospital cardiologists met in Rimini to discuss all the major issues of prevention, treatment and research, and the latest developments in cardiovascular clinical activity. Among the focuses were "the most common pathologies in cardiology, namely heart failure, heart attack and coronary heart disease, but also rare and genetically determined pathologies.

We will address issues such as primary prevention, secondary prevention with innovative treatments and strategies, including the use of artificial intelligence". Leonardo De Luca, vice president of Anmco, explains this to Adnkronos, during the 56th National Cardiology Congress of the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists, the most important cardiology event in Italy, which began today in Rimini.

At the center of the congress work "the therapies available for decades and those that have yet to be put on the market but that have been studied in randomized clinical trials - De Luca emphasizes -. Innovation always starts from prevention and in this 56th congress, as in the tradition of Anmco, we try to combine tradition and future, present and innovation". And on our NHS "it is the best in the world, in terms of delivery of care and innovation. In Europe we are the country with the highest number of randomized clinical studies and patents. Our researchers, also thanks to their Italian university education and probably because they have worked in this type of NHS, are excellent in universities around the world".
