Rome, May 16 (Adnkronos Salute) – "The life project must become a right enforceable for all, modeled around the person and his or her uniqueness. The framework law on disability also represents a cultural turning point: a reform that we are committed to making fully implementable, in a coherent and timely manner". This was stated by Maria Teresa Bellucci, Deputy Minister for Social Policies, in the video message sent at the opening of the works of the National Conference of Aisla, the Italian Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, which is taking place in Jesi (Ancona).
Referring to the "central role of families, and in particular of family caregivers, people who take care of them with love and dedication every day, often giving up their jobs, their social life, even their own health", the deputy minister recalled that "the Inter-ministerial Technical Table on Caregivers is a priority of the Meloni government to give the right recognition and support to those who have too often remained invisible". In this context, "Aisla is a concrete example of how we can work together with competence, tenacity and heart and of an alliance between institutions and civil society, a point of reference for the government and for me, as deputy minister", he concluded.
