Milan, 11 Oct. (Adnkronos) – "Social responsibility today cannot be treated as a simple add-on, but must be an integral part of the corporate strategy. For us, the first step is to look at apparent contradictions not as obstacles, but as opportunities to innovate and demonstrate that it is possible to combine solid values and economic performance, individual well-being and collective success. Our philosophy is based on the idea that sustainability is not just an environmental issue, but above all a social and human one. It is the way we treat our employees, our customers and the community around us". This is what Dalila Ferraioli, HR Director Verisure Italia, said in her speech at the 12th edition of the CSR and Social Innovation Fair in Milan, entitled 'Challenging Contradictions'.
"For this reason, we put people at the center and create conditions that favor their growth, both professional and personal. A concrete example of our commitment in this direction is our strong focus on work-life balance – he adds – At Verisure, we are deeply convinced that sustainability begins with the well-being of people. Ensuring a balance between private life and work is not only an ethical choice, but also a long-term strategy to improve the quality of work and, consequently, results".
In this context, the new Green Island headquarters, in Rome's Eur district, intends to embody "our values: sustainability, innovation and the centrality of people. Green Island is not just a workplace, but an environment that stimulates collaboration, creativity and well-being. Energy efficiency, attention to green spaces, the use of eco-friendly materials and the environmental quality inside the headquarters, combined with advanced technologies, have allowed the building to obtain the Leed Gold certification, one of the most important protocols worldwide for the sustainability of buildings, making Green Island an example of how social responsibility can be reconciled with the well-being of people".
"In addition to the attention to our employees, we are aware of our responsibility towards the communities in which we operate", explains Ferraioli citing the collaboration with Legambiente to support initiatives for environmental protection, the corporate volunteer program Verisure, "which involves our people in various initiatives to support the most vulnerable people in our community". Furthermore, "by adhering to the United Nations Global Compact (GCNU), we actively participate in the Sustainable Development Goals, committing ourselves to creating a positive and lasting impact".
Finally, "we work closely with local associations to promote safety, making our skills and resources available to contribute to the development of a stronger and more cohesive social fabric. In particular, together with the Differenza Donna association, Verisure in Italy promotes training courses on the effective management of cases of gender violence for its colleagues and the Security Guards who manage customer alarm events".
