An event of great importance for the Italian Regions
From May 18 to 20, Venice becomes the stage for an important initiative: the fourth edition of the Festival “L'Italia delle Regioni”. This event represents a unique opportunity for the Italian Regions to discuss crucial issues such as differentiated autonomy, sustainability and competitiveness.
Organized by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces in collaboration with the Veneto Region, the festival promises to be a journey between innovation and tradition, involving government representatives, academics and stakeholders from all 21 territories represented.
Topics for comparison and dialogue
Massimiliano Fedriga, president of the Conference of Regions and of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, underlined the importance of this festival as a moment of synthesis between territorial identities and national vision. During the three days, the presidents of the Italian Regions will meet to discuss the most current issues of the institutional agenda, in the presence of the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella. The 'Region Talks' will offer a focus on topics such as sustainable regionalism, fiscal federalism and coordination between State and Regions.
An opportunity for the future of the country
The festival is not limited to theoretical discussions; it also includes four working tables dedicated to fundamental themes such as Made in Italy, health and well-being, tourism and culture, and sustainability of territories. Fedriga stated that the start of a path towards greater autonomy must be seen as an opportunity to strengthen the effectiveness of public action, while always maintaining respect for national unity and solidarity between territories. Luca Zaia, president of Veneto, added that “Italy of the Regions” represents a moment of high-level institutional debate, where regionalism can express its efficiency and cohesion.
