Venice, May 14 (Adnkronos/Labitalia) – The first three-year period of the Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF) formally closed today, with the board of directors meeting at the Procuratie Vecchie in Piazza San Marco, where the financial statements for 2024 were unanimously approved.
The act led to the expiration of the statutory bodies in office and their simultaneous election which started the new institutional phase. Renato Brunetta was reconfirmed as president for the next three-year period 2025-27.
The proposal to appoint Renato Brunetta, put forward by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Government, received the full consensus of the Veneto Region and the Municipality of Venice. The Board of Directors ratified the decision with a unanimous favorable vote. Likewise, Alessandro Costa was confirmed in the role of general director and sole administrator of the Foundation.
During the meeting, the members of the board of directors were also reconfirmed, including the representatives of the founding members: Benno Albrecht (Iuav University of Venice), Enrico Carraro (Confindustria Veneto), Michele Casarin (Academy of Fine Arts of Venice), Renata Codello (Giorgio Cini Foundation onlus), Monica De Virgiliis (Snam), Fabrizio Iaccarino (Enel), Tiziana Lippiello (Ca' Foscari University of Venice), Fabio Moretti (Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music of Venice), Giuseppe Ricci (Eni), Emma Ursich (Assicurazioni Generali), Laura Alice Villani (BCG).
Subsequently, the new board of auditors, the supervisory body of the Foundation, was appointed, which saw Enrico Zanetti reconfirmed as president.
