Adnkronos Paris, March 18 (Adnkronos/AFP) – French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that France will “increase and accelerate orders for Rafale fighter jets” for the benefit of the air force, as part of new defense investments decided in the face of global geopolitical “change”.
The head of state made the announcement during a visit to the Luxeuil-les-Bains air base, in the north-east of the country.
This, he said, will be "the first base to host by 2035 the next version of the Rafale and its hypersonic nuclear missile, which represent the ongoing renewal in the modernization of France's nuclear deterrent."
