Philip Imundi The Liberomail email site and its twin Virgilio mail both managed by Italiaonline have recorded problems for users in accessing their email inbox, therefore not being able to consult their emails, let's try to understand what happened and if the problem has now been resolved.
Free mail, unable to access emails
As of Tuesday 11th June it is impossible to access the Liberomail and Virgiliomail websites as reported on the website I read. it users who wanted to go to the site were faced with an error message.
The error message read: “The Libero Mail service is currently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and invite you to try again later".
In fact, even logging in to the site with your own credentials was impossible, as well as sending and receiving emails, of course.
Even the site specialized in breakdowns Downdetector has received a spike in user reports who expressed difficulties in using the sites.
The fault now appears to be resolved
In the early afternoon today the servers, both of liberomail and virgiliomail, they are back to work, allowing users to regain access to their email boxes.
However, Italiaonline or the Libero.it website have not yet released a statement explaining what caused the outage.
