The case of Garlasco continues to be a topic of discussion, years after the final sentence that condemned Alberto Stasi at 16 years for the murder of his girlfriend Chiara Poggi. Now the defense is back on the attack, focusing on a technical detail: the acetate sheet containing the so-called "fragments 10 and 11". The indiscretion comes fromAdnkronos.
Garlasco, evidentiary incident on July 4th: evidentiary incident with DNA analysis begins
The request is inserted in the context of the evidentiary incident, with the next hearing scheduled for July 4, under the new investigation conducted by the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigations involve Andrea Sempio, a friend of the brother of the victim Chiara Poggi, currently under investigation for complicity in murder with other still unidentified individuals, or possibly with Alberto Stasi, with whom however there are no previous relationships.
Garlasco, the background on the acetate sheet: Stasi's lawyers ask for investigations
The defense of Alberto Stasi, definitively sentenced to 16 years for the murder of his girlfriend Chiara Poggi, through his consultant Ugo Ricci, would have requested new insights on acetate sheet containing the "fragments 10 and 11". These fragments were found on the inside of the entrance door of the villa in Garlasco, the scene of the crime which occurred on 13 August 2007.
The request aims to make further research of traces of human blood substance using the Obti test. This investigation is necessary because the previous analyses had been carried out on a second swab taken from the same surface. Furthermore, the defense anticipated the request for full access to files relating to genetic analysis.
At the moment, Judge Garlaschelli's experts have not received any requests from Sempio's defense or from the Poggi family's consultants.
