Adnkronos Rome, 8 Feb. (Adnkronos) – "The Lo Voi affair saddens us deeply. Why did the Rome Prosecutor's Office include confidential documents from the Secret Services in a judicial file? We cannot imagine that this is a reprisal for the famous affair of the 13 euro-per-way state flights denied to the Rome Prosecutor. It is not possible. But then why act in such a clumsy manner? We must calmly evaluate the continuation of Lo Voi's permanence at the helm of the Rome Prosecutor's Office. He has jurisdiction over institutional bodies whose secrets could be further divulged. I believe that Lo Voi himself should draw the conclusions. And if the CSM were a free and authoritative body, it should deal with it immediately". This is what the Forza Italia group leader in the Senate, Maurizio Gasparri, says.
"Whatever assessments will be made in the future, at present - he adds - there is no security condition for fundamental state services whose headquarters are in Rome and therefore reachable by the competences of the prosecutor Lo Voi. Freedom of the press is a cornerstone of the Republic, but sometimes one can wonder about the real nature of some newspapers that have suddenly sprung up with an enormous waste of resources given the passive balance sheets. Then there is the issue of the super anti-mafia prosecutor's office to resume, or rather the De Raho and Striano scandal. In this case too, the competence has ended up in the hands of Lo Voi, who probably do not appear to be the most suitable. We must take the initiative again in the Anti-mafia commission. Parliament must defend fundamental institutions and principles of law that are the very bulwark of democracy".
