This evening, Thursday 31 October, Valerio Staffelli will deliver the Golden Tapir to Alan Friedman. The journalist missed the dancer Giada Lini's grip, causing her to fall. Intercepted in Brescia by the Striscia correspondent, the competitor declared:
“It was the moment when I lost my tooth because thirty seconds before entering the track I ate a chocolate bar. From the pain I forgot the grip".
However, when Staffelli presses him on whether the incident is related to nervousness caused by the diet he is following, Friedman decides to change the subject.

The Alan Friedman Diet
In interview released at Corriere della Sera Last September, the contestant said:
"I have started a protein diet on July 29th after a last dinner of porchetta. I didn't eat any carbohydrates, no pasta, pizza, bread, no dessert, zero sugar and alcohol. Only meat, fish, vegetables and yogurt. And I lost 13 kilos”.

Despite the incident, Friedman revealed that he had received a personal call from the secretary of the PD, Elly Schlein, who congratulated he for his performances. Surprisingly, he added that several deputies from Fratelli d'Italia and Lega also expressed their appreciation.
