This was stated by the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, on the sidelines of the conference 'Legitimate impediment, a right for the legal profession, organized by the National Council of Lawyers, at Montecitorio.
“There is regret that we have not succeeded in the constitutional bill for the separation of careers that is being discussed in the Senate.
The goal is that once this constitutional reform is approved, we can move on to the inclusion of the figure of the lawyer in the Charter, also with a broader political convergence,” added the Minister of Justice. “I think there should be no difficulty in reaching a qualified majority, given that it is not only a rational choice, but also a legally necessary one,” he underlined.
