Rome, 10 Feb. (Adnkronos) – Lottomatica Group announces, in a note, that it has obtained a B rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project (Cdp), being among the over 24.800 organizations committed to building a sustainable future, and distinguishing itself as "one of the few leading companies globally in the gaming sector for transparency and commitment to environmental sustainability".
Lottomatica Group has joined the CDP, an international non-profit organization of reference in the evaluation of the environmental strategies of listed companies, providing detailed disclosure on its sustainability initiatives. The B rating recognizes the effectiveness of the actions undertaken by the company to address the challenges related to climate change and reduce its environmental impact - explains the Group - The score obtained is the result of an in-depth assessment by the CDP on several key aspects, including the solidity of the decarbonization strategy, the analysis and management of climate and environmental risks and corporate governance in terms of sustainability.
A fundamental contribution to achieving this important milestone was made by the Less strategy (Lottomatica Environmental Sustainability Strategy), launched in the summer of 2024. This is an integrated and cross-cutting action plan, implemented thanks to the commitment of all corporate functions and guided by a solid and structured ESG governance, which includes four interfunctional committees, one of which is dedicated to the environment. The Less strategy is structured along four lines of action, along which programs and objectives are concentrated aimed at significantly reducing the Group's carbon footprint and laying the foundations for achieving net zero.
