Trevignano, Court Rejects Extension: Vatican Denies Apparitions and Bans Gatherings

The Court of Civitavecchia rejected the request for extension of the investigations, thus consolidating the evidence collected to date.

In the meantime, the Vatican had already clearly expressed its opinion on the matter of the alleged apparitions of Trevignano, officially defining without any foundation whatsoever supernatural.

At the same time, with a formal decree, the bishop of Civita Castellana has the faithful are forbidden to organize or take part in events and meetings that present the miraculous nature of the episodes, stressing the importance of avoiding misinformation and false expectations in the religious community. This institutional decision puts a stop to speculation and reaffirms the rigor with which the issue is addressed.

Madonna di Trevignano, the sensational truth about the DNA found on the statuette

Le analysis genetic tests conducted by Emiliano Giardina, an expert already known for his role in the investigation into the death of Yara Gambirasio, have revealed that the blood found on the statuette of the Madonna of Trevignano belongs to Gisella Cardia, the so-called “clairvoyant” at the center of a fraud investigation.

According to the expert, the four traces of genetic material examined - two on the cheeks of the statuette, one on the face and another on the robe of a painting depicting Christ - correspond to the DNA of Maria Giuseppa Scarpulla, the real name of Cardia. For months, the woman has fueled the cult around the statuette, claiming to have received divine apparitions.

In contrast, the defense had advanced the hypothesis that the traces could be a mix of different genetic materials, but the analyses seem to confirm a single provenance. This discovery raises new doubts about the authenticity of the alleged demonstrations and sheds new light on the affair involving the community of Trevignano.
