Rome, November 15 (Adnkronos) – "The FdI amendment to the budget, which effectively reopens the building amnesty, is a very serious act. It's a measure designed not to resolve the housing emergency, but to rally support in Campania on the eve of the election. This dynamic has all the hallmarks of political vote-trading."
Piero De Luca, regional secretary of the Campania Democratic Party, declared this.
Instead of the €15 billion housing plan promised by Meloni, which miraculously disappeared after the announcements, yet another vote-grabbing amnesty arrives. All that's missing, to round out the election campaign, is the addition of "a set of pots and pans, a vacuum cleaner, and a bicycle with Shimano gears." This is beyond ridiculous. The situation is made even more grotesque, adds the Democrat, by the glaring contradictions within the majority: Cirielli openly applauds the amnesty. Tajani tries to slow things down with an embarrassing 'case-by-case' approach. Meloni remains silent, after vowing 'never again amnesties.'
"Who are we to believe? Who really governs? And above all: why must the country witness a confusing and contradictory performance on such a sensitive issue, whose sole purpose is to fuel an election campaign by exploiting citizens' fears and difficulties? All this while in Campania, thousands of families are experiencing a dramatic housing crisis, completely ignored by this maneuver. No resources, no real plans, no interventions for unsafe homes: just propaganda and broken promises. If President Meloni truly has any dignity, she should immediately withdraw this amendment and present a serious plan to address the housing crisis," concludes De Luca.
