Martina Russo begins new rehabilitation program after tragedy

Martina Russo during her rehabilitation process

After months of hospitalization, Martina Russo faces a new phase in her life.

The transfer to the Maugeri clinic

After a long and difficult nine-month hospital stay at the Cardarelli hospital, Martina Russo has finally begun a new chapter in her life. Transferred to the Maugeri clinic in Telese Terme, Martina is preparing to embark on an intensive rehabilitation program. This transition represents not only a change in structure, but also a hope of recovery for a young woman who has suffered a devastating tragedy.

The tragedy of the Scampia balcony

On July 22, Martina was involved in a dramatic collapse of the Vela Celeste balcony in Scampia, an event that led to the death of three people and changed her life forever. Following this accident, Martina suffered serious injuries, remaining paralyzed and with significant memory problems. Today, the young woman cannot even recognize her daughter, a tangible sign of the devastating consequences of that day. Her family, especially her sister Maria, remained by her side, supporting her in every difficult moment.

Community and volunteer support

Martina's transfer to the new clinic was also possible thanks to the solidarity of the volunteers of the association "Nessuno Tocchi Ippocrate", who organized the ambulance ride. This altruistic gesture represented an important support for Martina's family, who lived months of anguish and hope. "Martina was very tired, but when the doors of the clinic opened, she smiled. For us, it is the greatest satisfaction", say the rescuers, highlighting the importance of community support in times of crisis.
