A hard blow to Roman drug trafficking
The criminal network dismantled
The investigations revealed the existence of a well-organized network that supplied the main drug dealing areas of Rome, generating a turnover of tens of millions of euros per month. Investigators identified Giuseppe Molisso and Leandro Bennato as the leaders of the group, both already detained for other crimes. These individuals are historically linked to Michele Senese, a well-known Roman crime boss.
Violence and intimidation in the association
The gang was not limited to drug trafficking, but also used violence to maintain control over its operations. There were reports of intimidation and aggression against those who did not respect the rules imposed by the group's leaders. Furthermore, the organization was equipped with war weapons and hand grenades, a sign of the seriousness of the situation and the dangerousness of the members involved.
Seizures and searches underway
In addition to the arrests, the Carabinieri have launched a series of preventive searches and seizures, aimed at confiscating assets with an estimated value of around 5 million euros. This action not only aims to hit the organization economically, but also to send a clear message about the determination of law enforcement in fighting organized crime. The fight against drug trafficking in Rome continues, with the aim of restoring security and legality in the capital.
