He then announces the appeal: “A Delaware judge has just ignored the will of the absolute majority of Tesla shareholders, who voted twice to to recognize Elon Musk a compensation appropriate to his value. The decision is wrong and we will appeal”. The story originates from a lawsuit filed by a Tesla shareholder, who contested the remuneration package granted to Musk in 2018. A judge ruled in January that Musk engineered his pay through “fictitious negotiations with non-independent directors.”

Tesla shareholders would then have voted for the second time to ratify Musk's 2018 pay package, although the judge refuses to review his initial ruling. Musk instead insists on the principle that shareholders should have the final say on corporate decisions, which he views as an undue interference.
