Maurizio asks Cristina to leave Men and Women
Maurizio's speech at the centre of the studio, interrupted several times by Tina's provocations, begins with great emotion:
“You gave me the opportunity to live a journey that made me meet many people, an extraordinary enrichment. I had the opportunity to meet some ladies, in particular Cristina. For me she is extraordinary, she has particular, distinct values, towards the family. He has great respect for people, things and for me. He has extraordinary loyalty".
Maurizio explained that these values are not common and revealed that he is particularly involved sentimentally. He added that they started dating at the beginning of December and, right from the start, they understood that they had a strong understanding and a good feeling.
“This feeling continued into a deeper understanding. It's not easy to hold back the emotion, gave me the opportunity to relive particular emotions."
So, a bouquet of red roses was brought to the studio for Cristina, and Maurizio asked her to leave the show together.
Cristina's response after Maurizio's statement
"I'm fine with him, he's so handsome and I've never asked myself what it is. I just want to live it like this. He is kind, thoughtful, sweet and passionate, characteristics similar to me. I don't want a perfect man, though I hope I find a perfect fit with him".
After this exciting declaration of love, Maurizio added:
"I get up, I take your hand and I'll take you away with me".
The two then danced to Frank Sinatra's “Strangers in the Night,” before leaving the studio together.
